When to book
I recommend booking your Smash and Splash session **6–8 weeks in advance** to ensure availability.
If you’re like many soon-to-be parents of a one-year-old, you might feel overwhelmed planning a birthday party—and who can blame you? Your baby is about to turn ONE!
Let me tell you something, though, you are going to be so happy that you booked a Smash and Splash session with us.
In this moment, we will create memories that celebrate your little one’s first year. Every picture we take will showcase the pure joy of being one.
The Juniper Package $425
Perfect for celebrating your little one’s milestone (ages 1–3).
This package includes:

A themed Smash & Splash session with included themed decor

Access to our client closet (boho-style outfits, 9–18 months)

A variety of images, including: portraits, cake smash photos, milk bath or bubble bath
-
12 fully edited, high-resolution digital images
delivered in a downloadable online gallery
Add-ons: $50 – Parent(s) included in photos with the birthday child $50 – Sibling(s) included in photos with the birthday child

The Willow Package $350
A simple yet sweet way to celebrate (ages 1–3).
This package includes:

A minimalist Smash & Splash session featuring: 1 setup with a banner or garland or balloons

Access to our client closet (boho-style outfits, 9–18 months)

A variety of images, including: portraits, cake smash photos, milk bath or bubble bath session

10 fully edited, high-resolution digital images delivered in a downloadable online gallery

The Fern Package $350
For those who love a past theme or setup we've used before (ages 1–3).
This package includes:

Preparation
If you have a specific theme in mind for your cake smash session, we’ll discuss how to bring that vision to life!
We also offer a client closet with a selection of boho-style outfits ranging from **9–18 months** for your little one.
What to Bring:
Here’s a list of items we recommend bringing to your session:
- Extra diapers
- A cup with clear juice or water
- Comb/brush
- Favorite snacks
- Cake
- Allergy medication (if needed) –
*For safety reasons, I cannot provide this, but I always recommend bringing it when food is involved.*
During your session
A smash and splash session can go two ways, and I’m ready to capture either!
1. Some one-year-olds dive right in, smashing the cake and loving every bite.
2. Others may be hesitant, unsure, or even a little nervous, which is completely normal!
I always encourage parents to be prepared for either reaction. If your little one is hesitant or upset about the cake, I completely understand that it can be disappointing when you were hoping for cute, messy, and playful photos. However, children have minds of their own, and we always go with the flow!
**Tips to Help Your Baby Feel Comfortable:**
To help your child feel at ease, here are a few things I recommend:
- Practice at home! Let them explore a small cake a few days before the session.
- Let them play with frosting.** Allow them to touch and feel frosting three days before the session so it isn’t a new sensation.
- Bring familiar comfort items. A favorite toy or book can help them feel at home.
- If your child uses a pacifier, bring it! It can help soothe them if they get overwhelmed.
- Make sure they’re well-rested. A tired one-year-old can quickly become cranky, even if they love cake!
Post session
After your session, you’ll receive a soft-proofing gallery to select your favorite images. Here’s what happens next:
• Final Edits: Once you’ve chosen your images, we’ll begin the final editing process to bring your photos to life.
• Gallery Delivery: All packages include a high-resolution, downloadable online gallery. These images must be downloaded onto a computer, but if you don’t have access to one, you can purchase a USB drive directly through us.
• Additional Images: Extra images are available for purchase with any package.
